Southern Appalachian Montane Mixed Oak Forest (White Oak Type) – CEGL007230
The white oak (Quercus alba) type of Southern Appalachian montane mixed oak forest occurs on rather dry, exposed upper slopes and gentle ridgetops between 2000 and 4000 ft. elevation. This stand is near High Point on Dickey Ridge, southeast of Quebec in Smyth County.  Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
