Dry-Mesic Calcareous Forest (Chinquapin Oak - Mixed Hardwoods Type) – CEGL004793

A fairly rich stand of dry-mesic calcareous forest with abundant common black cohosh (Actaea racemosa).  On limestone ridge between the Clinch River and Weaver Creek, NW of Artrip, Russell County.  Pinnacle State Natural Area Preserve.
