Central Appalachian Mountain Pond (Buttonbush - Threeway Sedge Type) – CEGL003746

Partly inundated eastern basin of Twin Pond in the Maple Flats sinkhole pond complex near Sherando, Augusta County.  Flowering stems of seven-angled pipewort (Eriocaulon aquaticum) and vegetative stems of Valley Doll's-daisy (Boltonia montana) are partly emergent.  Glenwood-Pedlar Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
