Maritime Wet Loblolly Pine Forest – CEGL006137

Loblolly pine (Pinus taeda)-dominated maritime swamp in a swale at Savage Neck Dunes State Natural Area Preserve, Northampton County.  This community type is associated with sandy mineral soils rather than the mucky peats of other maritime swamp types.
