Overwash Dune Grassland – CEGL004097
 
A variant of the overwash dune grassland that occurs on xeric, stabilized, secondary dunes.  This stand in the northern part of Hog Island in Northampton County is co-dominated by saltmeadow cordgrass (Spartina patens), purple sandgrass (Triplasis purpurea var. purpurea), and sea-beach needlegrass (Aristida tuberculosa).  The Nature Conservancy Hog Island Preserve.
