A "chute" of quartzite rubble in a sweet birch (Betula lenta var. lenta)-dominated boulderfield woodland on the north face of Short Hill Mountain above the Potomac River, downstream from Harpers Ferry in Loudoun County.  Harpers Ferry National Historical Park.
