This heath barren at 4300 ft on Jack Mountain is co-dominated by a mixture of northern lowbush blueberry (Vaccinium angustifolium), velvetleaf blueberry (Vaccinium myrtilloides), minniebush (Menziesia pilosa), and mountain laurel (Kalmia latifolia).  Southwest of Doe Hill, Highland County.
