Coastal Plain Seasonal Pond (Swamp Tupelo - Overcup Oak Type) – CEGL006223

A drawn-down seasonal pond with even-aged swamp tupelo (Nyssa biflora) and patches of slender plumegrass (Erianthus strictus).  Water marks on the trees indicate the normal high-water levels in the pond.  The Nature Conservancy's Piney Grove Preserve.
