Coastal Plain Seasonal Pond (Swamp Tupelo - Overcup Oak Type) – CEGL006223

A small seasonally flooded pond in flatwoods near the headwaters of Mattawoman Creek, southeast of Reedtown in Northampton County on the Eastern Shore. In this vernal stage, emergent culms of common rush (Juncus effusus ssp. solutus) and eastern mannagrass (Glyceria septentrionalis) grow under small trees of swamp tupelo (Nyssa biflora).
