Coastal Plain Depression Swamp (Willow Oak - Red Maple - Sweetgum Type) – CEGL006110
A drawn-down, sphagnous depression swamp in an isolated swale near the headwaters of Chotank Creek, north of Berthaville in King George County.  Willow oak (Quercus phellos), sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua), hairy highbush blueberry (Vaccinium fuscatum), and short-fringed sedge (Carex crinita var. brevicrinis) are important species in the stand. Chotank Creek State Natural Area Preserve.
