Lush herb layer of twinleaf (Jeffersonia diphylla), Canada waterleaf (Hydrophyllum canadense), and other forbs under sugar maple (Acer saccharum) and American basswood (Tilia americana var. americana).  On a limestone lower slope along the Jackson River at the foot of Little Mountain in western Bath County. Warm Springs Ranger District, George Washington & Jefferson National Forests.
