Sign Shop Graphic Designer
Position Number DCRSP003
Hiring Range: $17.00 - 23.50 per hour
Job Duties
Design art for all print applications using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop. Knowledge and understanding of the importance of following design guide rules and regulations for commercial standards.
Prioritize Work Orders according to deadlines and complete them.
Work Order Oversight, start to finish.
Communicate with field staff, when clarification or proofing is required.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Assist in monitoring stock.
Understanding of how to adhere vinyl to substrate.
Understanding of how to wrap packages for safe UPS shipment.
Work in a shop environment
Communicate with supervisor and/or wage staff, to ensure quality and efficiency of orders.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with:
Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print
Extremely proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
Use of Microsoft Office - Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to review project deadlines and prioritize assignments based on the most immediate deadlines.
Attention to detail and Project oversight mandatory
Time management and Organizational Skills
Communicates well with Supervisor and Team members
3 to 5 years experience in creating vector art
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of or Experience in or with:
Commercial Branding and Guidelines
Operating and Designing for Large Format Printing Equipment (Roll to Roll and/or Flatbed)
Operating Large Format Printing Design and RIP Software
Sign Making Equipment: Application tools and methods, Laminators, plotters or routers
Vehicle Decaling
Laser Engravers
Packaging and Shipping for commercial carriers or mail
ID Card makers

There are no health benefits or paid vacation leave associated with the job. Employees are limited to working no more than 1500 hours in 12 months from May 1 to April 30. Position does not include benefits.
