Wage Position - Admin & Office Specialist II, High Bridge Trail State Park, Closes 11/09/13
Closes On: 11/09/2013High Bridge Trail State Park near Farmville, VA is seeking a motivated self-starter to provide program support, office management, administrative, fiscal, technical and customer service support to all park programs, projects and activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following functions: budget tracking and preparation, accounting transactions, cash management, procurement, computer operations, and the preparation of reports and correspondence. Additional responsibilities include public relations with park guests and the general public, filing, answering telephones, and other administrative support duties.
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED with additional course work/training in business, computer concepts, accounting, office services related areas or equivalent combination of training and experience. Good organizational skills and knowledge of English grammar and composition. Experience with financial records and providing customer service. Knowledge of office practices and procedures and the ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Experience using Microsoft Office, word processing and spreadsheet software and automated procurement systems is desirable. May be required to work shift work, weekends and holidays. Must possess a valid driver's license.
Pay rate starts at $9.85 and could be increased based on successful applicants knowledge, training and experience.
This is a part time position (limited to 29 hours per week in a 365 day period). No benefits. For more information please call the park office.
