DCR is looking for talented people to fill positions listed below. Unless otherwise stated in the job announcement, to be considered for a listed position, you must complete and submit an electronic state application by the close date stated in the job announcement.

Kiptopeke State Park, Trades Technician II - Wage, Open Until Filled

Performs the recurring grounds care, maintenance, light construction, and cleaning tasks necessary to operate State Park facilities according to established procedures for the Virginia Division of State Parks. Duties include cleaning bathhouses, mowing grass, trash and litter removal, cleaning campsites, and office, as well as other duties as assigned. This position will be required to work weekends, and holidays; applicant will be required to comply with department uniform policies.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma, or equivalent desirable. Must have valid driver's license. Successful candidate will have a combination of experiences, education and /or training in one or more of the following areas: public relations; maintenance of building, grounds and equipment; general knowledge in the trades of plumbing, construction, carpentry, and electrical.

This position is limited to working 1500 hours in a 12 month period from May 1 to April 30. No benefits are associated with wage positions. Please contact the park office for additional information about this position.
