Twin Lakes State Park, Admin & Office Spec II - Wage, Open Until Filled

Administrative & Office Specialist II
Hiring Range: $10.05 to $17.14 per hour

Provides administrative support to Twin Lakes State Park and ensures visitor services, customer service, and administrative services support the operation of the park consistent with the goals of the Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Provides coverage at the park contact station and park office. Collects appropriate fees and registers overnight cabin/camper guests. Required to operate a computer, copier, cash register, fax machine, laminator, handheld radio & multi line phone system. Position provides accurate and detailed information on the campsite and cabin reservation procedures/information, park fees, directions, pricing, annual passes, trail information, park interpretive programs, and local area information. Performs clerical duties such as answering telephones, copying, and typing correspondence.

Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Ensure follow up contact is made within 2 days of initial request. Act as first point of contact for both internal and external guests as it relates to administrative functions and request for park information. Prepare and update park information on brochures, website, and other media to reflect the most current available. Handle customer complaints while maintaining a positive impression.

Maintain filing systems, compile data for reports, apply knowledge of office/program activities. Provide support to other park staff such as ordering supplies, follow up phone calls, collecting data, proofreading documents, cross checking data, providing technical support on IT systems, and handling task as directed. Produce letters and or packets for guests, vendors, and employees.

Ensure gift shop/customer check in area is well stocked and maintained on a daily basis. Maintain accurate and neat filing and storage.

Qualifications: General knowledge of office and computer operations preferred and ability to meet/work well with the general public. Must be able to reconcile register and perform daily register transactions. Must provide own uniform (through approved uniform supply company) and must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. Employment is limited to a maximum of 1500 workable hours per year. No benefits are associated with this position.
