Procurement Support Specialist - Proc Officer I - Admin Division - Position #AD003 - Closes 9/30/15

The Procurement Support Specialist position performs specialized paraprofessional work, including assisting the DCR Central Procurement Unit in soliciting and purchasing goods and services in accordance with the requested need and within state regulations, policies and procedures and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of Virginia government procurement and contracting policies and processes, Agency Procurement Surplus Property Manual (APSSM), Virginia Public Procurement Act and SWaM requirements; familiarity with purchasing card procedures and Surplus Property; experience with the State of Virginia's eVA system; proficient use of software applications including spreadsheets, financial databases, e-procurement systems and electronic contract management systems; demonstrated abilities to function efficiently and effectively in a professional team environment; ability to work independently to handle multiple projects with conflicting priorities; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management and staff in a high-pressure, time sensitive environment

Preferred Qualifications
Prior purchasing and/or contract administration experience.

Special Requirements
Position is limited to working 1500 hours in a 12 month period from May 1 to
April 30. No benefits are associated with this position.

Hiring Wage: $16.00-$22.00/hour; Closes - 9/15/15
