DCR is looking for talented people to fill positions listed below. Unless otherwise stated in the job announcement, to be considered for a listed position, you must complete and submit an electronic state application by the close date stated in the job announcement.

Generally applications must be made through the RMS (electronic state application); however, in some instances (State Park positions only), we will accept paper applications. The paper application is here. Be sure to refer to the individual recruitment for specific requirements.

Sky Meadows State Park - Contact Rangers - Wage/Hourly -Open Until Filled

Outgoing applicants are needed to provide the first point of contact at Sky Meadows State Park. The Contact Rangers greet guests at the Contact Station and Visitor Center. Primary duties include collecting entrance fees, registering campers, providing information about the park (events, programs, camping and hiking trails) and orientation to park facilities, as well as sharing information about other local activities and attractions. Contact Rangers also process gift shop and park pass sales, as well as other duties as assigned.

Visitor interaction is handled in a friendly, courteous manner and includes a professional appearance. Must be able to operate a computer terminal/ cash register and inform guests of the rules and regulations for the purpose of protecting and conserving park areas.

Applicants must be able to work weekends and holidays. Some evening work may be required. The pay range is $7.69 - $13.13/ hour.
