State Park Central Office, Merchandise Analyst, Office & Admin Specialist II Closes 8/25/15

The Virginia State Parks' Enterprise Section is seeking an energetic individual to work with park merchandising program by ordering, creating purchase orders in IDSS (DCR special system), and maintaining budget information for the Enterprise Section. This position will be the liaison between vendors and parks' gift shop managers and buyers but it will also support the Business Manager and Enterprise Manager. This position will also create State Parks Buyer's Guide for 2016 as well as coordinate the State Park Gift Show.

Applicants must have basic computer skills that include work experience with Microsoft Office applications-especially Word and Excel. Candidates must have the ability to learn new computer programs, specifically IDSS. Knowledge of merchandising and working with vendors is essential In addition, applicants need the ability to prepare and analyze reports used for budget management.
Position requires the ability to work independently on assigned projects. State Parks also requires a strong background in customer service and communication.

Retail experience is a plus. Knowledge of the Commonwealth's eVA/SWAM Program is preferred.

All hourly positions are at a maximum of 1500 hours from May 1st to April 30th. No benefits are offered for hourly positions.
