Mason Neck State Park, Admin and Office Specialist I, Open Until Filled

DUTIES: Admin and Office Specialists serve two useful purposes here at Mason Neck State Park. First is the role of the Contact Ranger. This person works in the contact station (fee booth to many) and greets guests and collects fees for visiting the park. They also give out information and answer questions for guests. Cleaning the station and adjacent area is included.

Experience using a cash register is desired but not a must have. Outgoing personality and professional appearance would be must have requirements. Must have a valid driver's license.

The other role for this position is that of receptionist in the visitor center. This person would greet guests, answer questions, give out information, make sales of gift shop items, rent boats and bikes and general housekeeping in the visitor center. May also assist in preparing for programs, meetings and events.

Cash register experience is a must. Once again an outgoing personality and professional appearance would be must have requirements. Must have a valid driver's license.

No benefits are associated with wage or seasonal positions which are limited to, but not guaranteed, 1500 hours of work from May 1 to April 30 of each year. Rate of pay: $11.00 hourly.
