Program Administration Mgr II, Finance & Enterprise Mgr.,Central Office (# 00646),Closes 2//22/2013

This position in located in the State Park Central Office in Richmond Virgina. This position plays a major role in the development and management of the annual budget for state parks, develops and monitors the production of park revenues, develops and manages private contracts for services and facilities in state parks, and monitors economic significance of parks. This position works under the supervision of the Central Administration Manager and supervises the Enterprise/Merchandise Manager; and works closely with field and central office personnel. A moderate amount of statewide travel is required.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge & experiences working in public finance and performing budget management responsibilities. Knowledge & work experience performing business management, financial management, and business enterprise activities. Knowledge & work experience in the operation of parks or other public facilities & services. Work experience providing supervision to employees performing financial related job functions or other similar business activities.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in business administration, public administration, park administration, or similar field preferred. Knowledge of Virginia State Park operations and visitor activities, state park business practices, cash collection and accounting procedures (including cash resisters and point of sale systems) retail merchandising, concessions food sales, and restaurant management preferred. Knowledge of state contracting procedures, and the ability to write, negotiate, and monitor concession contracts. Ability to analyze financial information, make forecasts, conduct financial research, and organize financial information into clear reports. Additionally, 5 years of related work experience which would allow the successful performance of the job functions of this position.

Hiring Range: $53,000 - $84,062
