Located at Belle Isle State Park in Lancaster County. Assists Park Manager in overall management of park and has primary responsibility for several management areas. Develops annual park budget and work plan, and monitors/analyzes expenditures and revenues. Organizes, monitors, and conducts employee training. Supervises daily park operational programs such as fee collections, work scheduling, correspondence, and provision of park services to the public. Supervises the park's enterprise operations consisting of equipment rentals, gift shop and camp store. Assists with managing overnight facilities/campground, day use areas, visitor center/meeting facility in order to maintain services and quality control. Provides visitor and property protection through enforcement of State laws and park regulations. Hires, supervises and trains employees who provide visitor services and maintain park facilities and grounds. Participates in planning and implementation of management programs for natural and cultural resources. Ensures safe environment for staff and visitors. In absence of Park manager, has the direct responsibility for all park operations.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required and valid driver's license. Experience & training in business management, budget/financial management, procurement; experience in personnel management, supervision, staff training, etc.; experience in facility and concession management; experience in program development & management in a recreational/park setting; experience in law enforcement/public safety.

Preferred Qualifications: Prefer degree or additional training/education in natural resources, business management, park administration, or related field. Considerable experience and/or education/training in one or more of the following areas: budget management, supervision of employees, park operations, visitor/public protection, business or public administration, management of natural/cultural resources, maintenance of buildings and grounds, and/or park interpretive and environmental education.

Hiring range: $31,352 - $61,000

Special Requirements: Successful candidate will be required to accept law enforcement training and authority and live in park provided housing. Shift work, evenings and weekends and holidays. Position is subject to lateral transfer. Requires a background history check. "Federal law prohibits anyone convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence from carrying a firearm."
