DCR is looking for talented people to fill positions listed below. Unless otherwise stated in the job announcement, to be considered for a listed position, you must complete and submit an electronic state application by the close date stated in the job announcement.

Generally applications must be made through the RMS (electronic state application); however, in some instances (State Park positions only), we will accept paper applications. The paper application is here. Be sure to refer to the individual recruitment for specific requirements.

Mason Neck State Park, Trades Technician I, Open Until Filled

Trades Technician I

DUTIES: Trades Technician I (Maintenance rangers) perform duties such as lawn care, trails maintenance, trash removal and pickup, cleaning in buildings, and other maintenance type activities requiring physical labor. May assist skilled trades persons (rangers) in other duties such as painting, construction, equipment repair. Also works at the cartop boat launch assisting customers who rent canoes, kayaks and bicycles. Weekends and rotating shifts (days and evenings) are required.

Applicants must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted and work in outdoor conditions. Must have a valid driver's license.

No benefits are associated with wage or seasonal positions which are limited to, but not guaranteed, 1500 hours of work from May 1 to April 30 of each year. Rate of pay: $10.00 hourly.
