Reservation Center Counselors (Admin & Office Spec III), Seasonal Position # SP027, Closes 1/4/13The VA State Parks Reservation Center (Department of Conservation and Recreation), located at The Perimeter Center, 9960 Mayland Drive, Suite 100, in Henrico County, is seeking state applications for seasonal employment February through October 2013 for 2-3 positions $11.54/hour. This is a wage position with no benefits.
This is a call center environment that provides first-line customer service by ensuring delivery of excellent customer service, dealing with service recovery situations, following agency established customer service policies and procedures. Counselors must become proficient in handling the automated phone system, reservation system and software. We are a self-sustaining unit which utilizes other skills to run the centers such as filing, photocopying, laminating, working in the gift shop, picking up the post office box mail, and other duties that may arise.
Minimum requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with business, computer, and office services related training. Good organizational skills, knowledge of English grammar and simple math. A valid Driving License is required.
Preferred requirements: Considerable experience working in a customer service environment preferably in a call center. Excellent computer skills. Knowledge of office practices and procedures and the ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Experience using word processing software. Experience with performing typical clerical, administrative office support. Experience in providing customer service & maintaining positive public relations. Any equivalent combination of training and experience indicating possession of these knowledge, skills, and abilities may be substituted for the training education. Speaking fluent French and/or Spanish is an advantage.
