Closes On: 06/30/2015Primary Responsibilities: Volunteer Program: Recruit, schedule and evaluate volunteers and alternative staffing such as Alternative Spring Break, YCC, VSCC, Eagle Scouts, as well as, topic expertise partnership groups, i.e. beekeepers, blacksmiths, astronomy clubs, Audubon's , Master Naturalist, bike and horse associations, etc. Maintain volunteer database and records. Develop and maintain volunteer opportunities and job descriptions, Serve as a catalyst to integrate volunteer efforts in support of overall park operations, programs and planned projects. Request and present volunteer awards. Develop and coordinate Volunteer Appreciation Events, and maintain effective communication through newsletters, e-mail, social media (Face Book, Pinterest, Twitter, etc).
