Hiring Rate: $15.50 per hour
Leesylvania State Park is accepting applications for the Boat Dock Contact Ranger position! This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Potomac Place retail and rental operations, which includes, but is not limited to providing excellent customer service; answering questions about the park (including event and fishing information); operating the point of sale system; completing cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently to include providing correct change. Other duties include completing opening/closing tasks as assigned; instructing customers on the safe operation of park-owned paddle craft; ensuring all customers leave wearing properly fitted PFDs; keeping boat rental and retail areas clean and organized; ensuring all boats and facilities are properly locked and secured before leaving; and monitoring creek to ensure park-owned boats are being operated in compliance with the rules and regulations. This position occasionally performs additional duties as requested by supervisors.

A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
