The Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area Designation and Management Regulations were adopted in 1990 and recently amended in December 2001. The revised regulations took effect in March of 2002 and localities have until December 31, 2003 (per the resolution adopted February 18, 2003 CBLAB meeting) to revise their local ordinances to become consistent with the new language. An implementation schedule for localities to implement these new requirements is provided below as well. This schedule lays out which changes took effect immediately upon adoption and which changes must be made by 2003.
